Jim Wolter has been involved in the charitable planned giving arena since 2000. In his role as President of LegacyTree Foundation, Jim has oversight responsibilities for all facets of the charitable partnerships and charitable planned giving transactions that are entered into by the organization. His primary objectives are to ensure that a family’s charitable and philanthropic intentions are honored and to ensure that LegacyTree Foundation’s long term obligations to them and their heirs are secured and protected in the most prudent manner possible.

Jim is a popular featured speaker for industry conferences, and conducts numerous educational webinars on an ongoing basis for the financial services industry, introducing them to simple charitable planned giving concepts. He is also a popular guest speaker for client seminars and has written several articles for national financial publications. He is a member of NAFA (National Association for Fixed Annuities) where he actively promotes the benefits and proper use of charitable planning and the use of charitable gift annuities among industry professionals.

In his previous capacity of Executive Vice President of Development for a national public 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, Jim managed an in-house team of development advisors, providing training, technical advice and support, and strategic planning to meet long-range marketing goals. He continuously interfaced with key financial professionals around the country in order to educate them on the benefits of charitable planned giving transactions for their clients, while promoting the mission and purpose of the charitable organization.

Prior to his non-profit experience, Jim spent over 20 years as a registered representative and licensed life and health insurance agent, where he worked directly with business owners and small groups in designing benefit plans to meet their financial needs.

Jim resides in Franklin, TN with Amy his wife of over 28 years. They are actively involved in their church, where they are involved in the worship band. He is an avid sports fan...particularly the St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes.
